After 6 months of testing the waters, we're ready to announce the official launch of Fyuse. Our technology alpha prototype (Fyuse 1.0) helped us tremendously for the past months to understand how to take one of the most important communication mediums in our lives: pictures - and improve them.
If pictures are 2D slices of space and time, and movies capture time, we are proudly presenting the first consumer SPACE capture experience. With Fyuse we are moving away from the traditional "point and shoot" model (we're not robots after all) to a more human-friendly "tap and wave". We're trying to get the technology to work for us and not the other way around.
Fyuse 2.0 comes with some amazing new technologies. We're bringing concepts like selfie-panoramas, infinite interpolation, and 3D Physical Tagging to life in this release, as core technological novelties. In addition, the entire application has been rebuilt from scratch, with an excellent UI, camera guides to help make recording a fyuse as easy as possible, private or public galleries in the cloud with infinite storage, a lot of new filters, as well as a great instant messaging system. All this paired with big changes in the fyuse format itself: fyuses now have 3x higher resolution, are 3x faster to process, and occupy 4x less storage on the phone.
We'd like to specially thank our 1.0 users who have been early adopters of our novel technology and have guided us in the process of designing 2.0.
Over the course of the following weeks, we will unveil a lot of the new features of Fyuse 2.0 and bring you many tutorials that go beneath the surface and explain how and why fyuses are the next big thing in photography.
