So you've installed fyuse, you've browsed community fyuses in the explore tab, and maybe you've even posted a few fyuses of your own. But what's next? How do you find fyuses that will interest you? How do you make sure your fyuses get noticed? In this blog, we're going to teach you everything you need to know to master discoverability on Fyuse.
Finding fyuses you're interested in:
If you're looking for interesting fyuses, the best place to start is in the Explore tab (magnifying glass icon). Here you'll find links to Popular and Trending content as well as a number of curated galleries and featured content.
But what if you want to find specific content? Well, there are a few different things you can do.
Follow interesting users:
Ok, this is going to be super obvious, but when you follow users their posts show up in your feed. This means that the more people you follow, the more content is going to appear in your feed. Fyuse uses a "Follower system", so you can follow any use that interests you. If you stumble on to a particularly interesting fyuse, tap the name of the user to view their profile. Chances are that the other fyuse they post might interest you to. If so, tap the plus icon next to their photo to follow them. From now on, their fyuse will appear in your feed.
While one user might be really good at taking fyuses, another might be really good at curating fyuses. That's why when you visit a user's profile, you might just want to switch to the Gallery tab to see what they've got to offer there.
Subscribing to user created galleries:
As mentioned above, fyuse lets users create custom galleries where they can organize both their fyuses and fyuses from the community. What you might not know is that you can actually subscribe to galleries from other users.
When you view a gallery curated by another user, you will see a big "subscribe" button at the top of the gallery. Tap that to subscribe. When you return to the explore tab, that gallery will now appear in the list with the other featured content. Below the gallery name, you'll also see the username of the person who owns that gallery. When they add new fyuses to the gallery, you'll also see a badge appear to let you know there is new content to check out.
Of course to follow interesting users and to subscribe to their galleries, you'll first have to find them. So let's show you how to do that:
Searching for and subscribing to #hashtags:
The simplest way to find fyuses you might be interested in is to search for #hashtags that interest you. Go to the Explore tab, tap into the search field, and then tap "HASHTAGS" to make sure you're searching for hashtags and not users. As you begin to type, results for known hashtags will appear in the list. Tap one of the results to jump to a gallery of fyuses containing that hashtag.
From this gallery, you could jump to individual profiles looking for users to follow, or you could subscribe to the hashtag itself by tapping the link at the top. This will add the hashtag to your "Subscribed Hashtags" list at the bottom of the Explore tab. Each time you visit the Explore tab you will see a badge next to hashtag indicating the number of new Fyuses added to that hashtag since you last viewed it.
Galleries featuring this:
Another fun way to discover new fyuses is using the "galleries featuring this" feature. When viewing a fyuse, 3D Touch or press and hold on the fyuse to bring up the "peak" preview. If that fyuse appears in any public galleries, you will also see a "Galleries featuring this" button at the bottom of the screen. Tap this button and you'll be taken to a grid of galleries containing that fyuse. Tap any of the galleries to jump its fyuses. If you liked that fyuse—there's a good chance that other fyuses from these galleries might interest you too.
These are some of the many ways to discover new and interesting content from the Fyuse network. Now get out and start exploring!
